Essential Duties

  • Greet guests in a friendly manner
  • Take food and beverage orders, keeping in mind guests dietary or allergy restrictions and effectively communicating that to the kitchen team
  • Be the Hana Koa Brewing Expert and guide guests towards their next favorite beer and/or dish
  • Be a contributing member to the team whether it be helping a fellow server, host, bartender, or guest.
  • Responsibly serve alcohol, knowing what to recommend and encourage healthy consumption
  • Keep drinks full and food dishes coming, as well as being prompt with final check delivery
  • Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, dishes
  • Remove trays and stack dishes for return to kitchen after meals are finished
  • Efficiently use the POS system to communicate to the Bar and Kitchen, reporting all sales for accurate payment collection
  • Total checks, present them to customers, and accept payment for services
  • Complete daily sidework
