Tap Room Server + Bartender at Annex Ale Project

Job Purpose

The Tap Room Server is an integral member of the Annex team and is responsible for creating positive experiences for all our guests. They are the main point of contact for consumers wanting to connect with the Calgary beer scene, which will include discussing Annex’s story and our beers and soda. The objective of the Tap Room Server is to work as a member of the taproom team to provide professional, enthusiastic and efficient service to provide Calgary’s best brewery experience.

Responsibilities ● Provide excellent customer service by connecting with Annex’s guests ● Pour and serve beverages in the tap room and soda shop ● Maintain a clean and organized work area, bus tables, and keep the public spaces sanitary ● Follow all cash handling procedures which may include cashing out ● Assist in inventory control by changing kegs, stocking retail product and merchandise ● Provide customers with current and relevant information on company products and be knowledgeable of rotating beverage menu being served ● Provide retail service for packaged product and cross-sell to increase revenue ● Provide responsible beverage service at all times ● Interact in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner with management, customers and consumers

Required Knowledge and Skills ● One year of experience in the hospitality industry in a serving or bartending position ● Proven ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast paced environment ● Excellent communication skills and proven ability to resolve conflict ● Ability to stand for long periods of time ● Demonstrated experience in excellent time management and organizational skills ● Knowledge of relevant software (TouchBistro POS) is an asset ● Have a passion for customer service and craft beer
