Merchandise at Hub Town Brewing Co.

Hub Town Brewing is looking for part time, energetic, highly motivated, self starter, who will be an authentic Hub Town ambassador, working hard to ensure our customers enjoy their shopping experience with us each time they walk through the door.

You will be:

Super friendly and helpful, especially with newbies, having a genuine desire to help others find what they need when they visit. It can be intimidating going into a homebrew store for the first time so your job is to first help put the customer at ease and then take the time to walk through the brewing steps so the customer understands what they need to get started;

You know what you’re talking about when it comes to brewing. You will have at least homebrewed (hopefully at an advanced level), so that you can help the customer find solutions to their brewing challenges, even recommending a source for finding what we as a mini-brew shop do not offer;

​

You're passionate about brewing and might even want to start a homebrew club, or hold competitions and brew-offs to keep our local home brewers engaged in this fun hobby! You'll want to work as a team to create a strategy for growing into what brewers need from us by paying attention and bringing new ideas to the table;

​

And, you're going to make sure all of the ingredients in house are fresh and not expired so that customers get the best possible goods to start their brewing adventures with, of course keeping track of inventory and loss.

You will need to be physically capable of both being on your feet for long periods of time as well as lifting 55kg bags of malt. You will also have an approachable, friendly personality while being well versed in the brewing process, so that you can answer questions regarding brewing equipment and recipe needs.

You will have your proserve certification because you will be taking payment for beer consumed onsite by visitor as well as selling off-sales in the merch shop, along with Hub Town merchandise, and brew supplies using POS;

​

You will Stock / Inventory of all merchandise and brew supplies (keeping us up to date when more is needed);

​

You will keep the merch shop clean and tidy, folding of clothing, dusting merch and doing general housekeeping related to the shop;

​

​And more...but we will figure that out as we go!

Required Qualifications:

​

Significant brewing experience and knowledge of brewing equipment/supplies

Excellent and demonstrated English communication skills (both verbal and written)

Excellent people skills with a friendly and helpful personality

Strong ability and willingness to collaborate with team members

Understanding of all Hub Town beers and ability to educate customers on each

Professional appearance and demeanor

Available days/evenings/weekends/holidays

AGLC - Proserve Certification

Must be 18+ years old

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

​

Strong familiarity with the craft beer industry

Passion for craft beer and brewing

Leadership qualities are highly valued
